Hi ! My name is Florian and I am a self-taught French photographer. After ten years of experience as a sommelier — owner of my wine shop in Bordeaux — I decided to dedicate my time to photography. Based in Australia and Indonesia for two years, I developed my career with commissions, publications and exhibitions in several countries — New Zealand, UK, Bali, France, Nepal, Italy & Australia.

Since 2022, I have been working freelance on artistic and documentary projects related to the concepts of territory and environment. At the same time, I also collaborate with players in architecture, heritage, landscape, tourism, and activity spaces as well as with companies and professionals in the artistic, craft, and agriculture sectors who wish to promote their activities.

My photographic work is an exploration of the territory and its mutations. On one hand, I question through a documentary approach, the place of human being at the heart of his environment. I thus photograph evolutions of the natural and artificial spaces that surround us, whether they evoke the past or the future, enchant, intrigue or be thought-provoking. Through my photographs, I seek to question the notions of the wild and the built, their entanglement or their dissociation, in order to observe their evolution and act accordingly in a world in full environmental upheaval. On the other hand, I use photography for its narrative dimension and its power of wonder to offer a little of the beauty that surrounds us.

Based in Angers (Loire Valley), I work in France and abroad.

Bonjour ! Je m’appelle Florian et je suis photographe. Gérant de ma propre cave à vins indépendante pendant près d’une dizaine d’années, je choisis ensuite de partir vivre en Australie et en Indonésie. J’y développe ma carrière de photographe avec des commandes, des publications et des expositions dans différents pays, de l’Europe à la Nouvelle-Zélande en passant par le Népal, l’Australie ou l’Indonésie.

Je travaille depuis 2022 en tant qu’indépendant sur des projets artistiques et documentaires liés aux notions de territoire et d’environnement. Je mène en parallèle un travail de commande auprès des acteur·ice·s de l’architecture, du patrimoine, du paysage, du tourisme et des espaces d’activité dédiés la vie du territoire. Je collabore également avec les entreprises et les professionnel·le·s des domaines artistiques, artisanaux et agricoles qui souhaitent valoriser leur activité.

Mon travail photographique est une exploration du territoire et de ses mutations. D’un côté, j’interroge à travers une approche documentaire la place de l’être humain au coeur de son environnement. Je photographie ainsi les évolutions des espaces naturels et artificiels qui nous entourent, qu’ils évoquent le passé ou le futur, enchantent, intriguent ou interpellent. À travers mes clichés, je cherche à questionner les notions du sauvage et du bâti, leur enchevêtrement ou leur dissociation, afin d’observer leur évolution et d’agir en conséquence dans un monde en plein bouleversement environnemental. De l’autre, j’utilise la photographie pour sa dimension narrative et son pouvoir d’émerveillement.

Installé à Angers, je travaille en France et à l’étranger.
